IT'S GONNA BE ONE OF THOSE DAYS

Ever wake up and the first thing you encounter for the day is excitement?

Today is turning out to be one of those days. Please end soon!!

I call to a restaurant (that I went for an interview on the weekend) to see when I start. The manager was not in. He forgot to put me on this week's schedule/or changed his mind about hiring me. I have left a message asking what is going on? Need to know asap.

I hop into my jeep, ready to do errands for the day. Guess what? It is dead, I mean DEAD. On Monday I went shopping and the back hatch door was frozen, so I could not get it open. I must of opened it part way, cause on Tuesday evening, I go out to the jeep and the back door is wide open. Funny thing nobody stole a thing.

I shut the door and don't think about it. Today when I went to start it, it was dead from leaving the door and the light on for 24 hours.

Crisis..........I do not own a battery charger. I think who do I know that is home during the day and can help me? Ah YES........my friend Raj works at home.

I give him a call and he says he can drop off a battery charger. GREAT!!! Thank heavens for Guy Friends.

I have a new hood release in the jeep. It is almost impossible to pull the hood button from inside the jeep. Raj tried and no luck.

I took the blow dryer to it and warmed it up. That didn't work. I tried a pair of pliers. NO LUCK. Finally, in desperation, I went and got a hammer.

I used the claw from the hammer and yanked and yanked on the hood button for a hour. Finally it popped open. Then I took a can of WD40 and sprayed that hood release cord and hood release button, so it never sticks again.

Wish me well, the jeep has started and I am heading out the door to do errands.

UPDATE
Jeep is happy again. Put the charger on it and is went zoom zoom again.

I am employed again!!! Woo Hoo. Someone else I worked for before asked me to come work for them again. Great news is it is a hop, skip and a jump away. I walk out my door and walk a few steps and I am at work. No winter driving. I'm loving that.

Sorry to hear you were having a difficult start to November!
I have a battery charger, but does
no good in Kelowna and you are in Calgary! Glad Raj could help. :)
I was half expecting to hear you tore the cable end off with the claw hammer! That would have been the icing on the cake!
