GETTING READY FOR CHRISTMAS 2010

Arrangement for our kitchen. Arrangement smells amazing.

This arrangement is for our home. It smells amazing. Cedar and blue spruce, plus a real poinsettia.

This is for my daughter and her family. The poinsettia is real. Lyla will love the Santa cup.

A Christmas swam to dress up the house.

This arrangement is for my dear friend "Derek". His father passed away quickly on Thursday. I am sorry for your loss. Love, hugs and prayers my friend.

I think I am ready for Christmas!!! 6 more sleeps......if I have a nap, does that count?? Santa will arrive sooner? Ho Ho Ho

PASSING WIND

Okay so tonight Da Prince & I decided to go shopping.

We went to WallyWorld. It was not busy.

The store rearranged everything. I could not find anything. Let's say it took a lot longer to shop than normal. The shelves were bare in the Christmas department. Maybe the store was busy in the daytime??Maybe people are spending money??? Who knows???

I told Da Prince he could sit and wait for me. I ran to get one thing. WELL the one thing I could not find...growl.........I was gone forever.

When I shopping my myself, I got behind a guy. He was about 40 and hogging the space in the aisle..oblivious to his surroundings. I was getting frustrated.MOVE ALREADY......I was thinking.

Guess what the annoying aisle hog did? Squealed like a pig..........E..E..EE...snort snort. Kidding. It's better than that. He fart loudly. Not once. Not twice. BUT 3 farting times. Lucky me I was stuck behind him.

I held my breath, counted to 10.....as I was ready to drop the F bomb. Jerk!!! Then there was a spot for me to pass my him. Did I give him the Evil Eye. I still think I should called him a F***Pig.

Came home and turned on the t.v to watch hockey. Hockey game sucked!! We lost.

Sure glad this day is over. It has been a trying one :)

FROGGIES NO SIPPERS

Lyla turns 2 years old in 18 days. We are watching Kermit-The Swamp Years.

When Lyla comes over she takes off her boots & puts on slippers.

We are deep into watching The Swamp Years movie, when Lyla yells.....Froggie (Kermit) has no sippers (Slippers). Froggie no sippers..oh oh. so cute.

MAUI 2010 LAST DAY IN PARADISE

I don't want to go home. I want to stay in paradise for ever!!! As you can tell this is the day we pack up our suit cases and head to the airport back to our lives in cold snowy prairies.

Our flight does not leave until 11:30 pm, so we have a whole day to do what ever we like. The people we rented our condo from have been gracious and let us leave our stuff in the condo until we head out and they did not charge us an extra day.

Today it is very windy. All the wind surfers are out on the oceon. So cool to see the different colors and sizes of equipment.

Guess what new pet I have met? You are never ever gonna guess. Okay I will tell you. A Honu Turtle crawled out of the water to sllep and sun tan. This is a rare thing to see, as they mostly stay under the water.

I asked at the Whale sanctuary if the Honu was sick. They said no. This particular turtle loves to come out on the beach and sleep in the sun.

Wow!! A dream come true to see a Honu up close and personal. Take a look at her photo. I named the Honu "Lyla".

The last sun set before we leave. This is a beauty.

This is the end of the Maui 2010 story. It has been perfect.

P.S. When we arrived home, our luggage was not with us. It got left behind in Vancouver, BC. Eventually the luggage was found and returned to us.

MAUI 2010 JANUARY 24th

Just another day in paradise. Hot sunny lazy day. Good food, new friends, and excitement on the beach.

We decided to stop in at Denny's to visit and eat. Had a wonderful visit with the GM and scored a staff shirt and menu for a souvenir. Hawaii Denny's and Calgary Denny's have many different items on the menu. Strange to see birds flying in and out of the restaurant.

Next, a picnic and sun tanning at a beach.

SURPRISE was waiting for us at the beach. Can you guess what it was?

Okay I will tell you............say please first.

We saw a Hawaiian Monk Seal sleeping on the beach. There is only 1200 of these species left, making them an endangered species. He stayed on the beach until after sun set. It was breath taking to witness.

MAUI 2010 JANUARY 23rd

Just another day in paradise. Today we went to "Peggy Sue's 50's Dinner" Big juicy burgers and thick chocolate shakes. So yummie.

Here is a bouquet of flowers from the store. Hawaiian Pro Tea's. Aren't they amazing?

For dessert we went to the beach and watched whales belly flop. WOW were the whales loud!! Found a turtle close to shore, but of course I didn't get him in the picture. Collected some shells and watched the sun set.

I forgot to mention, we have a new pet in our yard. It is a mongoose. I am scared of it, as they are mean.

Soon this trip to paradise will be ending. So sad:( . I do not want to go back to cold and snow.
