And she says "I DO"

Dearly beloved, we are gathered here in the sight of God, and in the presence of family and friends to join together this Chevy Tracker and this woman, Sheila, in a long lasting relationship.

Finally, I have found the love of my life....a Blue Chevy Tracker. And as of Sunday night, I am the proud owner.

GIVING UP WINE

I was walking down the street when I was accosted by a particularly dirty and shabby-looking homeless woman who asked me for a couple of dollars for dinner. I took out my wallet, got out ten dollars and asked, "If I give you this money, will you buy some wine with it instead of dinner?"

"No, I had to stop drinking years ago", the homeless woman told me.

"Will you use it to go shopping instead of buying food?" I asked.

"No, I don't waste time shopping," the homeless woman said. "I need to spend all my time trying to stay alive."

"Will you spend this on a beauty salon instead of food?" I asked.

"Are you NUTS!" replied the homeless woman "I haven't had my hair done in 20 years!"

"Well," I said, "I'm not going to give you the money. Instead, I'm going to take you out for dinner with my husband and me tonight." The homeless woman was shocked.

"Won't your husband be furious with you for doing that? I know I'm dirty, and I probably smell pretty disgusting."

I said, "That's okay. It's important for him to see what a woman looks like after she has given up shopping, hair appointments, and wine."

FAIRY TALE

Once upon a time......
One day, long, long ago, there was this woman who surprisingly, did not whine, nag or bitch........

But this was a long time ago.....
and it was just ONE day.

BIG BIRD

A man walks into a restaurant with a full-grown ostrich behind him. The server asks them for their orders.

The man says, "A hamburger, fries and a coke," and turns to the ostrich, "What's yours?" "I'll have the same," says the ostrich.

A short time later the server returns with the order "That will be $9.40 please," and the man reaches into his pocket and pulls out the exact change for payment.

The next day, the man and the ostrich come again and the man says, "A hamburger, fries and a coke."

The ostrich says, "I'll have the same." Again the man reaches into his pocket and pays with exact change.

This becomes routine until the two enter again. "The usual?" asks the server.

"No, this is Friday night, so I will have a steak, baked potato and a salad," says the man. "Same," says the ostrich.

Shortly the server brings the order and says, "That will be $32.62."

Once again the man pulls the exact change out of his pocket and places it on the table.

The server cannot hold back her curiosity any longer. "Excuse me, sir. How do you manage to always come up with the exact change in your pocket every time?"

"Well," says the man, "several years ago I was cleaning the attic and found an old lamp. When I rubbed it, a Genie appeared and offered me two wishes. My first wish was that if I ever had to pay for anything, I would just put my hand in my pocket and the right amount of money would always be there."

"That's brilliant!" says the Server. "Most people would ask for a million dollars or something, but you'll always be as rich as you want for as long as you live!"

That's right. Whether it's a gallon of milk or a Rolls Royce, the exact money is always there," says the man.

The server asks, "What's with the ostrich?"

The man sighs, pauses and answers, "My second wish was for a tall chick with a big ass and long legs who agrees with everything I say."

ROAD TRIP PART II

Home at last. What an amazing road trip with Da Prince!!!

Mix up with my flight schedule.....short of the long story........I was 3 hours late arriving in Vancouver. Oh well, made it safe and sound.

Awaiting in my hotel room was a bouquet of flowers, chilled wine and lots of birthday presents. It was a night to remember!!

Had to cancel restaurant reservations as I was late arriving. So instead we picked up my favorite pizza and took it back to the hotel. Ocean Pizza Restaurant makes the best food in the world!!!
Saturday we had all kinds of fun. Went shopping, bought a frog humidifer.Bought some roses and bedding plants to bring back to Calgary for the new home. Drove by the truck show. It was raining so we decided not to go to the outdoor truck show.

Sunday we left early and headed to Kelowna for church. After church met up with the kids and headed to the car show.

(Midlife crisis...Stuart's new car...spending the kids inheritance)

(Midlife crisis...Sheila's new car.......spending the kids inheritance)

After the car show, we all went out for lunch at Moxies.

Thank you Michelle and Cameron for fun and for the lunch!!!

Back to the Da Prince's house before heading to Calgary. I got into his flower gardens and cut down a pail full of roses to take home with me. When I got back to Calgary, I made many flower arrangements. Oh does my house smell great with fresh flowers all over. Oh does my house look great with all the flower arrangements.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN

It is time to get out of Cown Town again. The gypsy in me is crying for a road trip and freedom for a few days.

Friday after work, I will hop on a plane and head to Vancouver to meet up with Da Prince. We are gonna have a weekend of celebrations.

Friday is my birthday and Sunday is Father's Day. Think we will do some shopping and fine dinning in Vancouver and surrounding areas, then head back to K-Town and to celebrate with all the big kids. Update to follow.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO ALL THE DADS OUT THERE

Like my balloon bouquet? Denny's gang surprised me with this Friday. Thanks everyone!!!
