Saturday Racing

The answer to yesterday's joke: French flies and a diet Croak.

Saturday, January 28th @ 10:00 am...Gentle men start your engines.

Paul Tracy in car #6 started in 12th position. When he was done his 2 hour shift, he moved up to 1st............did you hear that? 1st position in a 72 car race. More later.

This is Paul's car (the one in front.........burgundy). Only 22 more hours of racing and reporting left.

The 44th anniversary of the Rolex 24 at Daytona has moved to the second hour.

The No. 6 Graydon Elliott Fusion Racing with MSR Lexus Crawford with Champ Car star Paul Tracy behind the wheel continued to lead until stopping for fuel, tires and a change to new driver Mike Borkowski on Lap 51.

“I had a good stint,” said Tracy. “The car was really good in the test and was really good all weekend but we just didn’t get a good qualifying run in because of the accident we had on Friday. We knew we should’ve qualified in the top three or four. I took some chances at the beginning to get myself up in the top three or four and we just settled in right there behind Dixon. It was a nice solid stint in the 46s.”

The pit stop by Tracy gave the lead to the pole-winning No. 23 Alex Job racing car with Lucas Luhr behind the wheel, which pitted for their driver change on Lap 55.

Several other frontrunners are making their way to pit road around Lap 55 for driver changes.

Driver change. In lap 87, troubles for P.T. team. Engine troubles pulled car #6 off the course for a period of time. Now far behind. Hoping the night gets better.

Night did not improve for P.T. team. Engine troubles still persist. Hope Sunday is a better run for the team.

Sunday update:

The car was pulled off the track. DNF.........did not finish as mechanical troubles could not be fixed.ahhhhhhhhhhh

Joke of the day:

Whats the preferred car of frogs? The beetle.

Question of the day?

Why do people with closed minds always open their mouths?

Too bad your hero had a DNF. :(
At least while he was behind the wheel he managed to make his way through the traffic and run in the position he likes best .. #1!
Maybe next time?
